We are delighted to welcome Mr. Thomas Schlenz as our new Sales Manager at KÖCO. In this interview, Mr. Schlenz shares insights into his visions and plans for driving KÖCO's growth forward.
Mr. Schlenz, please tell us about your professional background and what brought you to KÖCO.
I have over 30 years of experience in the metalworking industry, covering all facets of sales. My passion for this industry has always motivated me to work in a manufacturing company. This passion ultimately led me to KÖCO, where I would like to contribute my knowledge and help the company to develop further.
Which of your previous experiences will help you most in your new position?
My many years of experience in sales will be very useful in my new role. Over the years, I have built up a deep and sound knowledge of the fastener industry. This combination of extensive sales experience and a high level of industry knowledge will enable me to operate effectively in my new position and provide decisive impetus for the success of the company.
How do you plan to build and maintain important customer relationships in your first few months at KÖCO?
In my first few months at KÖCO, I plan to build and strengthen important customer relationships through targeted measures. This includes accompanying our sales representatives on customer appointments in order to develop a deep understanding of our customers' needs. I will also attend trade fairs and conferences to expand my network and represent our company. Personal visits to our key customers, together with the management, are also an essential part of our strategy to foster close and trusting relationships with our most important customers and partners.
What goals and visions do you have for the future of KÖCO?
My goal is to link the name KÖCO so strongly with the term ‘stud welding’ that the two are used synonymously in the minds of our customers and throughout the industry. My vision is for stud welding to be automatically associated with KÖCO, so that we are perceived as the first point of contact and market leader in this field.
Mr. Schlenz, can you tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of work? What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I like to spend time in nature, especially in the mountains or at Lake Garda. Mountain biking is one of my great passions, and it gives me the perfect balance to my day-to-day work.
