The stud welding machine acts as a welding current source and, together with a stud welding gun, is designed to mate cylindrical studs on metal surfaces (stud welding). Due to the diversity of products, welding studs ranging from a few millimeters through to two centimeters in diameter may need to be processed in consistent quality.
