KÖCO Supports Road Safety Education for Children in the Ennepe-Ruhr District

Normally, we report here about welding technology, studs, and machines. Today, however, we would like to talk about a project that is just as close to our hearts: the safety of the youngest road users in our region!

At KÖCO, safety is not only important to us in welding technology – the safety of the little ones is also a concern of ours. That is why, this year too, we have supported the cycling training programme of the Kreisverkehrswacht Ennepe-Ruhr e.V. and sponsored learning materials for primary school children.

The commitment goes far beyond individual books: 3,370 interactive colouring and workbooks for cycling training and 150 posters on "right-of-way rules" for classrooms were handed over to the children thanks to the support of regional companies.

The Kreisverkehrswacht Ennepe-Ruhr e.V. has been working for road safety in the Ennepe-Ruhr district for over 60 years. In addition to supporting cycling training, the road safety association organises a wide variety of events throughout the district and provides important road safety work through personal outreach and awareness campaigns.

The K&L-Verlag has established itself as a specialist in child-appropriate traffic education and has been distributing colouring and workbooks to prepare children for cycling proficiency tests for many years. The publisher's learning materials are specifically designed to teach primary school children important traffic rules in a playful way and to optimally prepare them for the practical cycling test.

Through the collaboration of these two experienced partners and the support of local companies like KÖCO, the valuable learning materials can be distributed free of charge to primary school children in the Ennepe-Ruhr district.
