New Area Sales Manager at KÖCO: Welcome, Riccardo Vassallo!

We are delighted to welcome Mr. Riccardo Vassallo as the new Area Sales Manager at KÖCO. In this interview, Mr. Vassallo provides insights into his vision and plans for how he intends to further expand the international network and drive KÖCO's growth.

Mr. Vassallo, please tell us about your professional background and what led you to KÖCO.

The metal processing industry is one of the areas of interest I've discovered during my training as an industrial clerk and throughout my career thus far. In particular, I have always been fascinated by the diverse properties and application areas of the products. KÖCO offers solutions and products that are used in relevant construction projects, and I quickly realized that I wanted to be a part of this.

Which of your previous experiences will help you most in your new position?

In my previous positions, I had the opportunity to get to know various industries and markets and gained valuable experience ranging from fulfilling complex product requirements to considering local conditions for exporting companies. I was able to apply both technical and commercial approaches and appreciate the complexity of international sales. My understanding of the sensitivity of export operations and my ability to focus on what's essential will help me in my new position and give me confidence that I can make a valuable contribution to KÖCO's success.

How are you aiming to grow KÖCO's export operations?

My goal is to support KÖCO's business internationally and to further expand the network. It's important to me to intensify existing business relationships and to develop KÖCO even more into a strong partner for our customers. Analytical as well as empathetic approaches are integral parts of my philosophy.

What specifically attracted you to the position at KÖCO, and what are the most exciting aspects of your new position?

I was particularly attracted by the international customer contact and the use of foreign languages. The different requirements in international sales present a challenge that promises an interesting daily work routine. The most exciting part for me is representing KÖCO internationally to customers and at trade fairs.

Mr. Vassallo, can you tell us something about your hobbies and interests outside of work? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

When I'm not working, I'm into cycling and I love the outdoors. It motivates me and provides a great balance to my everyday work life.
